Lake Eildon:
59.27% down 0.62% this week
Eildon has been consistent for most anglers the last week. Trolling had been a good way of landing a yella or 2 but the anglers bait fishing, gulping and lipless cranking the trees have seen the best results. Trollers have had best success on predatek boomerangs, ac invaders and codgers. Gold/orange,green/orange and pink/purple all successful colours. Most the trout are being picked up on hardbodies as a by catch chasing yellas. For the trees slow rolling grubs or a lightly weighted scrubworm saw a few nice ones landed as had running soft vibes around the bases of the trees. Yabbies and worms on the bottom have also been good. The Redfin are patchy still but shouldn’t be far off schooling in the masses. Anglers have found them more consistently around the trees rather than stopping on a school as they seem to be moving around a lot. Plastics and blades always the go.

Lake Nillahcootie:
57.72% down 0.70%
Trollers are having a great time now landing good numbers of yellas but a lot have been small. Little storm arashi’s, codgers, size 3 stumpys and tilsan bass have all been good. Goldy/Bronze with orange, pink and orange/green have been great colours. Shallow early and late but pretty safe just trolling the 12-16ft area. We had a slowish trip out there Sunday morning landing a few small Redfin trolling and casting 3 small yellas on dark soft vibes and one on a blade. We marked fish off a few point and underwater drop offs and had a fair few taps and bumps but no hook ups. Soon enough they should be crunching flat out. Bait fishing off the bank has still been the best way to hook up worms and small yabbies the best bait. Make sure to move around as the lake it quite accessible and has a lot of general access points.
