Be safe in this hot spell, keep hydrated, watch out for snakes and slip, slop, slap.

Lake Eildon: 49.15%
Fishing: 7/10.
The cod fishing has been ok the last week. Everyone targeting them is catching at least one. Stumpys, bushrangers and ac invaders have been popular trolling lures. Targeting lay down timber and steep rocky banks has been the most successful way of catching a cod and many have caught Yellas while doing this. Bait fishing has been ok amongst the trees. Yellas and a few smaller Redfin have been caught on small yabbies and worms.

Lake Nillahcootie: 47.23%
Fishing: 6.5/10.
Dropping at a steady rate and looks to continue this way. Trollers are getting amongst some smaller cod and yellowbelly with the occasional legal cod being caught. Nillah is receiving quiet a bit of pressure since cod opening. Size 2 stumpys and codgers are a great start for trollers. Fishing is still good off the bank and amongst the trees.

Lake Hume: 42.15%
Fishing: 7/10.
The Redfin are starting to be caught more frequently and are a great size (30-45cm) both trolling and bait fishing amongst the trees. Halco's, ac's, and anything that gets down 15-25ft is going to get you fish. Also run a plastic above your hardbody to increase a Redfin hook up. Yellas are also being caught the same method.

Broken river: low
Fishing: 6/10.
Even though there has been some good fish caught its been a struggle for most people casting lures. Being low there is less places to flick so a lot have turned to surface lures and they have been getting a couple. Bait fishing has been ok in the deeper pools, fishing the top of a pool where a bit of flow seems to be we're the more active fish are. Worms and shrimp have been good but you can't go past a bardi in the broken at the moment.

Stay cool!
