There are still plenty of tuna out in the bay. The majority are between 12-20kg but there are a few better ones in the mix. Most are being caught on deep diving minnows or skirts. It depends on the day which one they decide to feed on.

Pleny of small pinky snapper are about in the bay, averaging 28-40cm. People fishing in the evening are catching most of them.

The whiting have slowed down a little. You need to keep moving to find them. The best baits are pipis and strips of squid.

There are some quite reasonable salmon around, ranging from half a kilo up to 3-4kg kilo. They're being caught between the harbour mouth and Blacknose Point.

Plenty of snook are being caught from the reefs near Lawrence rock. Just be careful as it's a potentially treacherous reefy area; the sea does break there at times.

Boats going to Bridgewater have been picking up sand flathead and tiger flathead. They're out in relatively deep water, anywhere from 60-100m.
