Late last week was pretty amazing with tuna swimming around in shallow waters from the breakwater to north shore . some caught in water less than ten metres . There has been some big schools of salmon around also so check in case they are tuna as this is the result from last week.

Saturday saw more tuna caught but a little harder I believe for some.

Others made use of the better conditions Saturday and Sunday and headed to the deep water grounds which produced good results in Blue Eye and Ling.

We had some good results from the beach also on the weekend with sharks, mullaway and snapper . The breakwater has seen the odd shark at night time plus pinkie snapper in numbers still. There's the odd good whiting still also. Didn't hear much about the fishing around the bay but I believe the whiting are still in good numbers.

It's that time of year again to sort out the tuna gear and get ready for another big season. At Compleat Angler we have a big range of tuna lures including Pakula skirts, Richter skirts , Williamson skirts, Black Magic, X-Rap hardbodies, Yo-Zuri, pacemakers and more.

Have a great day everyone and happy fishing
