Report 5/8/16

If you are thinking of fishing tomorrow you are also in for a treat .
We are looking at a north to northeast breeze right down to 4 knots with no gusts and a southwest swell of 1.6 metres and a high tide at 2.10 pm.
On Sunday expect a bit of a change with a north wind around 13 knots with wind gusts up around 20 knots . Southwest swell of 2 metres and a high tide at 2.30 pm. It should still be quite fishable but a bit windy on top.

Please check all up to date weather reports before you leave as this is only a guide . Thanks

The last couple of days we have seen some nice fish up to 114 kg and quite a few winning the day with bust off lines and hooks spatt back out. Also the seals have made life a bit harder for some Especially smashing lures off.

Plenty of boats out today with both ramps looking very full plus some overflow. Not bad for a Friday. Tomorrow might be a sight to see as the fishermen are still coming for there turn over the weekend.

Good luck to all anglers and stay safe.

Here at Portland compleat angler we have a new range of pakula skirts in stock but are selling fast ,also hooks to suit. Plus we have all your general bait and tackle for all areas. Fishing licences available in store plus regulation books and length stickers. open all weekend 8 am till 6 pm

Have a great weekend everyone

Cheers Nigel
