Hot spot this week, plenty of Flathead out on the sand off Tathra and Merimbula. Great catches of Blue Swimmer Crabs in Merimbula Lake. Beaches and headlands are still producing Salmon and Drummer this week. Frozen worms, Blue bait & pilchards, local frozen bait is great bait for beach fishing and available at Tackleworld.

GAME FISHING: A few sharks starting to show up.

TURA BEACH: Northern end producing some Salmon and good Tailor mixed in there as well. Catching on pillies and metal lures, Our recommendation is the Halco Twisites.

MAIN BEACH: Bream and Whiting, look for the gutters, try using Red Devil Worms & pippies.

BEGA RIVER: Good Flathead have been taken over the last week on hard bodies. Estuary perch in the upper reaches, Bream also caught on the rock walls with small plastics and vibes. The odd Jew fish in the deeper holes on plastics.

BROGO DAM: Great catches of good size Bass on Jackson Cicadas, spinner blades & vibes.

PAMBULA RIVER/LAKE: Some Salmon in the river, taken on small plastics. Flathead on vibes and plastics. Whiting on the sand flats on surface lures try the Fish Candy Skinny Dog.

MERIMBULA LAKE: Bream on vibes and bait, Trevally, and some Flathead also Whiting on the flats with surface lures, lots of Trevally on small plastics and metal jigs. Plenty of Tailor on diving hardbody lures. Blue swimmers in abundance.

MERIMBULA WHARF: A few larger Salmon & Tailor are being caught on metal lures and also some squid on Yamashita 2.5g jigs. Kingfish have been in and out, so be ready for them, with some big poppers and stickbaits. Try floating some live yakkas out as well.

TATHRA WHARF: Salmon, Tailor and Squid still being reported, with a few small Kingies as well.

REEFS: Snapper on bait and micro jigs – plenty of Morwong, plenty of good Flathead, Nannygai and Gummies out on the sand.

LOCAL HEADLANDS: Check conditions before fishing, Salmon and some big Kingfish still good catches of squid and the kingies making a show as well.
