HOTSPOTS THIS WEEK Local Headlands, Salmon Tailor, Bonito and Kingfish

Game Fishing: Black, Blue and Striped Marlin still showing up this week. Live & Skip baiting proving the most successful. However conditions have been a little tough this week

Tura Beach: Northern Tura producing the Salmon again this week. The Tailor are still on the bite with Pilchards and Metals the best choices. Try the Flexi gangs and full pilchard or bait up on a surf rig with a popper

Main Beach: Bream & Whiting look for the gutters; try using Frozen Sand Worms and Pippis.

Bega River: Some nice Flathead in upper reaches. Odd good jewfish near the bridge. Bream on the surface in the shallows. Bass and Perch making a show in the uppe reaches. Bent minnows are worth a go for something different

Brogo Dam: Bass biting early morning and later afternoon try Spinner blades or surface lures
Fresh worms also worth a shot. Good sized fish with a bit of brunt making you work for your catch

Pambula River/Lake: Flathead on vibes and plastics, Whiting on the sand flats on surface lures, try using the new Jackson EBI Panic Prawn. Give the squidgy whip bait in the black and gold color for Flatties a go. Flatties over 1m reported being caught this week.

Merimbula Lake: Good catches Trevally, Bream, Flathead some whiting and Tailor around the bridge
Arma anchovy lures and Gillies baitfish metals working well on the Tailor. The odd Blue swimmer Crab still being caught

Merimbula Wharf: Plenty of Squid, Salmon, Tailor and Black fish caught this week. Bonito & Frigate Mackerel in good numbers again the Arma metals are the go. Bait fishing for Tailor worth a shot also. Big sized Kingies turing up

Tathra Wharf: Good numbers of Salmon, Bonito, Frigate Mackerel and Tailor Arma metals producing good catches

Reefs: Snapper on bait and micro jigs – plenty of Morwong and good Flathead out on the sand. Long Point and the Hunter Reef worth a shot
