Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Apr 22, 2016 9:22 am

GAME FISHING a little hit and miss, however reports of a good run of Yellwo Fin on the shelf. Refer to our Mallacoota report for more action down south.

TURA BEACH, still producing some good size Salmon on metals and pilchards from Short Point through to Tura Head, look for the deep gutters.

MAIN BEACH has the whiting and Bream in the gutters with frozen worms, Pippies and Nippers getting the best results.

BEGA RIVER producing good numbers of Flat Head down from Blackfellows Lake, with Perch and Bass Upper reaches. Bream starting to make an appearance would advise giving the vibes a go

BROGO DAM With the warmer weather this week the Bass have been doing well early mornings and later in the arvo, spinner blades and fresh worms still working well. Surface lures are also producing some good catches

PAMBULA RIVER/LAKE Bream being caught on on small plastics. Flathead on plastics and vibes. Give the squidgy whip bait in Black & Gold or Poddy pro range a go for the Flathead

MERIMBULA LAKE has had a great week with Tailor being caught on surface lures and shallow divers good catches of Trevally, Bream and Flathead. Spencer park and down by the bridge have some large numbers of Trevally and Bream try small soft plastics or Striped Tuna cut small

MERIMBULA WHARF Not a lot different from last week to report however the only addition would be to try some soft plastics on the Friggate Mackerel. Squid still about early mornings and late afternoons. Good numbers of Salmon and Tailor also

LOCAL REEFS have Snapper on bait and micro jigs being caught some nice sizes have been reported 55cm Flatties out on the sand. Long Point and Horseshoe reef worth a shot. Flathead of Tura Beach on the sand

TATHRA WHARF Salmon still around ,Bonito and Frigate Mackerel showing up this week Arma metals are still a popular choice for here. Reports of some good sized squid here also.
