Report 8/7/16

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Jul 15, 2016 3:02 pm

The Bluefin have made their mark this week with reports coming from a few boats with good catches.
TURA BEACH, The Salmon and Tailor still showing good numbers and sizes. Metals and spinner baits have been favoured this week. Arma lures will not disappoint. Either Chisel or Radico Arma lures the go.
If your heading off the rocks, Drummer are still on the bite and again Salmon and Tailor all on lures. Watch the swell this weekend
MERIMBULA WHARF is still producing a few squid also black fish and as always Salmon and Tailor try metals or bait under a float.
THE REEFS have been producing a few Snapper and Morwong . Still good bags of Flathead on the 40 meter mark of Tura
BEGA RIVER have good catches of Bream starting to school up, keep searching around and you will get into them. Blades have worked well in the river this week. Flathead still worth targeting
MERIMBULA LAKE still has some nice Flathead being caught on squidgy plastics. Try Gary Glitter wrigglers in the 100mm or even flicking some blades around in the deeper water should show good results. Plenty of Tailor, try trolling some deep divers later in the afternoon for best results. Lots of Blackfish being found in the chanel at the moment. Try some weed under the float for these fellas
PAMBULA LAKE Have Flathead, Bream and Tailor all on the bite this week, try some blades in about 4mtr water. The odd salmon is being caught on small plastics fish from Shark Hole down to the mouth. Lots of Blackfish in this area at the moment try fishing with some weed under a float. Alternatively you could give the weed Flys a go

Happy fishing from the Tackle World Staff
