Report 22/7/16

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Jul 22, 2016 2:16 pm

MERIMBULA WHARF is producing one of the best runs of King Fish since 1988. Multiple catches have been reported up to 20kg+. Mornings are the go.
Not a lot on the GAME FISHING to report this week although conditions were good.
Waiting for some cooler water to flow through
TURA BEACH, has good numbers of Salmon coming through in consistent numbers. Metals and spinner baits are still favoured.. Arma lures always a favorite. Either Chisel or Radico Arma lures the go.
If you're heading off the rocks, Drummer are still on the bite on Conjevoi and Prawns Salmon and Tailor still being caught on lures

THE REEFS have been producing a few Snapper and Morwong . Still good bags of Flathead on the 40 meter mark of Tura,
BEGA RIVER have good catches of Bream starting to school up, keep searching around and you will get into them Blades worked deep are well worth a shot . Try the Jackall Pink Eye Sugi also. Flathead still worth targeting
No changes to from last week: MERIMBULA LAKE still has some nice Flathead being caught on squidgy plastics. Try Gary Glitter wrigglers in the 100mm or even flicking some blades around in the deeper water should show good results. Plenty of Tailor, try trolling some deep divers later in the afternoon for best results. Lots of Blackfish being found in the channel at the moment. Try some weed under the float for these fellas ore even a silver blade.
PAMBULA LAKE Have Flathead, Bream and Tailor all on the bite this week, try some blades in about 4mtr water. The odd salmon is being caught on small plastics fish from Shark Hole down to the mouth.

Happy fishing from the Tackle World Staff!

Many thanks,
Ron & Gael, Tackle World Merimbula
