This week we have seen another great couple of days of snapper fishing. It seems that when ever the wind has aloud we have had reports of anglers doing very well on the reds across both bays. This week we started to see the fish really fire up with word of crazy session in shallow water on the smaller fish around the Black Rock to Beaumaris area. Also many reports came in of fish up to 10kg caught in the deeper areas of the bay from Carrum to Williamstown. With a few good days of weather lined up we are exited to see what fish can be caught over the coming days.

Port Phillip Bay
Customer of the shop, Jacques headed out off Carrum on his birthday in search of some snapper. Jacques reports that he always makes an attempt to get out for a fish on his birthday and he certainly wasnt disappointed this year. Fishing in 18m of water Jacques was rewarded with a thumping big snapper weighing in at 9.18kgs. Im sure this will be a birthday to remember well done mate.

Aarron Habgood from Reds Fishing Adventures has been fishing very well this week. As we have seen in previous weeks Arron has been smashing not only the snapper but the Squid and Gummies as well. Aarron has been doing most of his fishing in the top end of the bay, great to see that there's still some big squid around also!

Western Port
Staff members Lee Mcduffie, James and Mitch headed out on Westernport in very good conditions on Sunday afternoon in search of some snapper. While the fish took a bit of work by the nights end multiple fish had been landed by the crew. Fishing in the top end of Westernport the fish that were caught ranged between 2-5kg and Gotcha squid was the stand out bait.

After the success of Sunday nights session staff members Lee McDuffie and James hit Western Port again in hope to find some more Reds. The boys launched Tuesday night after work and set out to find some squid for the long night. It wasnt until Wednesday morning the boys found the bite, fishing the lower ends of Corinella. They managed some great fish catching around a dozen for the morning. Freshly caught squid was the stand out bait fishing the runout tide.

Western Victoria
Scott gray has been Catching plenty of nice Brown trout over the past week. Scott has been fishing with the rapala hard bodied lures on some local rivers. Whilst the rivers are running hard and is not easy to fish at the moment but persistence pays off when working the rivers. We should see some great fishing over the next few months as the rivers are flowing hard with plenty of water and food around.
