Port Phillip Bay
Aaron Habgood aboard reds fishing adventures has continued his 'red hot' gummie shark form this past week, with plenty of winter time gumbo's hitting the deck for him and his clients. Aaron's reporting that fresh bait and knowing how to read and use your sounder, is what's making the difference between an average day and a cracking day.

That's The Thing About Fishing, hosted a fantastic kids fishing clinic recently down at Riverside park. Plenty of Bay Trout, Mullet and Bream were caught by the kids, but the ear to ear grins on the faces of all the participants was the what mattered the most. These are great events put on TTTAF All the entrants who attended caught plenty of fish, and received a new Fishing Rod combo, a medal and a certificate, to start them on their fishing journey.

Sharkmen charters had a blinder of a weekend on the school run Bluefin, with plenty of hot fishing action to make up for the cooler air temperatures. These school run fish can be a ton of fun and a real challenge to land when using light tackle to target. And the best part? It doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get into!

Jase from Magnet charters had a stellar weekend on the schoolies, managing to put his clients onto no less than 35 tuna. Something that's great to hear is that a lot of fish were tagged and released, allowing for the sustainability of our amazing Southern Bluefin Tuna fishery that we are so lucky to have here in Victoria, to continue for years to come.

Lake Eildon
Daiwa Pro Angler Darren Weda has been having a blast on the Cod up at Eildon this winter. Check out these Behemoth's that he has managed to wrestle out from around the sticks using BIG swimbaits.

It seems as though Bermagui is still producing the goods this week, with plenty of nice table fish sized reds being landed. It's also being reported that some legal kingfish are being caught by those prepared to put the effort into trolling lures around.
