Fever News

It's been all about the snapper over the last week with some phenomenal reports through the shop. Staff member Duff got stuck into the action early this week and had as good as a session as you could ever hope for on the PPB snapper. It seems as though the bay has really picked up with the majority of the reports over the past week coming from PPB as opposed to Westernport. Having said that there is still some great fishing to be had from both bays. With the water temperature slowing increasing and some hot weather ahead look for the snapper fishing to only improve over the next week. The Jumbo tuna made another appearance over the weekend with multiple fish caught and lost out of Portland. What a great season it has been for the SBT with more reports filtering through now of multiple Jumbos caught today (Wednesday). Now is the time to chase these unreal fish.Port Phillip Bay

Staff member Lee Mcduffie with friends Ben Symons, Isan Dogan, and Nic Sta just finished off a mad session on the reds. The snapper went a little silly of St kilda with fish to 7kg and plenty of double and triple hook ups. Duffy also got a nice one on a soft plastic. Great session in Ben's new boat.

Lucas Hamilton caught this cracking fish which was a pb snapper of 3.8 kg. The fish was caught off Rhyll on Saturday arvo on a yakka fillet.

We received this report from Brad who caught these two fish weighing 4.5 and 3.8 kg. The fish were caught at silver leaves on Sunday morning. The bait that was doing the damage was the humble old fresh couta fillet.

Good friend of the shop Mark Sullivan caught this magnificant fish out of Portland over the weekend. Andrew Walters was on the rod with sully and lachie Barnes running the deck in some ordinary conditions. The fish was caught on a custom colour sully made up in the shop on a Marlin magic baby blue. Congratulations guys great fish.

Tam Misson and George Superman hemmings caught, tagged and released this Jumbo tuna yesterday off portland. These boys just keep catching them and it is so great to see the tags come out. Well done guys.

Lakes Entrance

The snapper fishing out of Lakes has fired up over the past week with the boys from Far Out Fishing Charters whacking some awesome big reds. Check out these thumping ocean fish. Look for the fishing out of lakes to improve over the next month. Lakes is a great option if your wanting to escape some of the crowds also.

Good Fishing
