Great Fishing in The Rivers, Offshore And Beach!

Anglers over the coast have had a great run of weather over the past couple of weeks with the sun out and the fish biting. In the river, whiting, flathead, bream and trevally have been on bite at the River Mouth with live baits and soft plastics catching their fair share. For those that haven’t tried soft plastics fishing, it is a great way to see what’s in the water, it can also give the angler a better understanding of how the fish are biting. Land-based La Balsa Park area and Godfreys Wall has been fishing well for bream, with the change of the tide bringing them on the bite. There have been some big flathead caught up Eudlo Creek with small minnow style lures working particularly well. River 2 Seas Live Minnow is worth a try. Up River school size jew have been responding well to soft vibes slowly hopped along the bottom, try fishing around the mouth of Coolum Creek and the rocky bottom areas up towards Dunethin Rock.

On the beaches; Whiting have been caught in good numbers along Marcoola Beach with cured worms working best. When whiting fishing along the beach try and use as light as sinker as possible, whiting will often spit the bait out if they feel any weight. Good size bream are still on the chew right along the beaches with the low light periods being the best time to target them.

Offshore; the inner reefs are starting to pick up, with good sweetlip, squire and even the odd standout trout being caught. Out wider there have been some good snapper on the 12mile. The southern end of the Banks has also been fishing well for pearl perch, snapper, spangled emperor and amberjack.

Now for all the latest information log onto http://www.fishingnoosa.com.au for up to date bar and fishing reports and don’t forget to drop into Davo’s Tackle World Noosa or Davo’s Bait &Tackle Northshore at Marcoola to find out what’s biting and where, and remember Tight Lines and Bent Spines!
