Report 27/2/16

February 25
Morning report: I suggest an early morning fish for tomorrow and hopefully enjoy some nice spanish mackerel and reefies. The mooloolah river has had some great variety with hairtail at night using some big glow sticks and squid. During the day the early morning and late afternoons have produced some nice bream and whiting.
Afternoon report: There have been some good reports of bream, whiting and flathead along with some quality GTs being caught in the river. There are also reports of some good size blue swimmer crabs being taken in the lower reaches of the Mooloolah River.

Reports of quality Bream Whiting and Flathead keep coming in from the Mooloolah River. The Mackerel have been hitting trolled hard-bodies out wide around the Barwons and the 15nm FAD i keep hearing about has had Dolphin fish and other Pelagics hanging around it.

There seems to be some good activity in the canals with some nice GT's and flat ties being landed. Just find the shelter areas. The best way to fish is to be comfortable first a foremost. Catching a fish afterward is just a bonus.
