March 12
The local waterways are filled with prawns and fish biting during the right tides. The 'new moon' phase has only just passed and fishing the high tides are performing well. Labalsa Park and the boat ramp has had a few bream and trevally. The Basin has also had its fair share of whiting on the high tide along with the boat ramp.

The rivers are producing the goods. There were plenty of Bream and whiting caught with a few small Mangrove caught on Friday night in the upper reaches. Moses perch and trevally are hanging around structure like jetties, weed and rock shoals. There were a number of trevally caught at Labalsa Park and the boat ramp.

March 14
The Mooloolah River has produced one of the better weekends of fishing. The extra cloud cover maintained a good strong bite time for longer periods. Fishing the high tide is what has worked well. Best bait for the rivers of late has been the small pilly. There have been some big bream and trevally taken on these with the assistance of some cubed burley and burley pellets. When anyone has headed offshore the last week the fishing has been immaculate. Plenty of reef fish and snapper with some big Spanish Mackerel caught in close on the Caloundra Reefs.

Chris Henricks landed this golden trevally on the run out tide using our very own baby blue pilly.
