March 24
The fishing in the Mooloolaba has been a little slow but those who put in the time and fish the dawn/dusk and tide have been richly rewarded with some great Flathead being reported and BIG Bream caught on Vibes around the Trawlers at Mooloolaba and Trevally are still chasing bait around the mouth of the river early morning and the top of the tide, the Beaches will be the place to go this weekend with good shows of beach worms along the top end of Kawana beach and some solid dart to be caught in the same place your catching the awesome worms which are the best bait ever for beach fishing in my opinion.

March 25
Morning report: There are plenty of whiting around the local waterways. Labalsa Park, Picnic Point and the Pumicestone Passage are the better places for families to have a fish. Offshore will be exciting with many reports of Mackerel around so lets hope they turn up hungry this week.
Afternoon report: The beaches have been flooded with plenty holiday goers swimming and fishing. The Mooloolah River around Labalsa Park has had by far the best amount of variety caught land based in the area. Best baits are baby pilchards, pipi's, live beach worms prawns and squid.
Offshore has had little reports of fish but those mad keen anglers are raging to get out and do a few all nighters with this weather forecast. The close in reefs are managing the odd snapper and Pearl Perch with plenty of Grass sweetlip also. Burley in a big factor in catching a goo amount of table fish. The Mackerel are harder to come by but when you do they are of great size. Spanish are around the 10-15kg mark and Spotty Mackerel are close behind at around 5-7kg. Big Fish require big baits and Slimies, Pillies andf squid are working the magic offshore.
