Off shore fishing should be great as it has definately been for the most part of the last couple of weeks and the beaches have been fishing great with Dart bream and the odd nice flathead being caught. the rivers have being producing a steadily increasing number of nice bream as the water temperature starts to drop with these nice cool nights. The picture below is of a 36cm Bream caught in the Mooloolaba river by Lochie who seems to have it figuired out as he catches some terrific specimens around local area.

Morning report: With ideal conditions there were quite a few boats with the hammer down heading fishing even in the short time i was admiring the view from Point Cartwright, The fishing should be red hot where ever you go this week with reports of some great fish being caught all along the coast, and it looks set to continue.
Afternoon report: there have been heaps of people getting out for a fish with reports of Tuna all over the Gneering in the mornings and the inner reef systems producing lots of good quality reef speices such as Grassies, Snapper and Tuskies.
the gutters right at the top of Kawana beach have been turning up some quality Dart and Bream and there are some 4-5kg trevally being caught form the rocks at point cartwright, in the river there have been a few nice big Whiting caught along LaBalsa park and Bream Whiting and Squid in the basin. The photo below is of a couple of nice Spanish mackerel that were taken just off Mooloolaba.

I have spoken to lots of people this week about their idvidual adventures which include north shore beaches and Double Island point for beach and rock fishing, plus off-shore fishing missions chasing a plethora of speices on the beautiful reefs the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Spanish Mackerel and many different types of Tuna numbering in their thousands are all along the coast at the moment and dart and Bream are in good numbers along the beaches while Trevally are hitting white plastics in the rivers at dawn and dusk on the top of the tides.
