Report 14/4/16

April 10
Morning report: Good reports are coming in with Grassie's and Red Throat around the Caloundra Sound. They have been throwing up plenty of live bait and you may have to work the area.
Afternoon report: The weekend certainly paid off for a lot of anglers and it goes to show you don't need to go out wide or deep to land a decent fish. Spanish Mackerel from a canoe, great stuff. Bryan called in for a second top up of bait and said he cleaned up with Snapper, Cod, Red Emporer and Grasse's just out from the point. GT's off the rocks around the 8kg mark with a Rogue 12kg unstoppable. Conditions look good all week with a slight build up mid to late in the week. Reports show next week end to be much the same as this one, Lets hope.

Morning report: The Mackerel and other top quality fish have been frequently caught right on our door step over the past few days proving that you sometimes don't really have to go all that far to land a good fish.
Afternoon report: a lot of people went out for a fish and managed to get a nice feed with Grass Sweetlip on the Gneerings and Murphy's reef and one report of an 8 kg Mackerel. Below is a great pic of a beautiful snapper Aaron got recently.

Morning report: Some really good quality fish being caught in the Mooloolaba river like the Trevally that are around at the moment for example with the one that springs to mind being an absolute monster(10kg+) that was hooked while fishing from the rock at Point cartwright last week but unfortunately subsequently lost due to line breakage, and there are the Mangrove Jacks that i have seen a couple of pictures of which are being caught on live baits and in between are some solid bream whiting and flathead.
Afternoon report: Trevally in the Mooloolaba river are worth a shot with Zman streakz's in white and baby blue Pillchards on a 2/0 set of gangs fished light with a light sink should do the trick off the rock near the river mouth. Here is a pic of a striped tuna caught by Damon out at the Caloundra 12 mile on slugs he bought here at the shop, and the guys had a great time with these incredible little fish fighting eachother to get to the lure.
