The fishing has been busy and due to the seasonal crossover it has been fantastic with so much variety being caught. Offshore has seen plenty of mackerel, snapper, sweetlip and tuskies. While onshore has seen plenty of trevally, flathead, whiting and some big bream in the rivers, and plenty of Dart along the beach. There have been a few Jew fish and one very large one caught along the Kawana stretch since the New Moon.

The in-shore reef's have been producing better than the wide reef's in my opinion with long-tail tuna and other small varieties of tuna chasing small Pilchards in the bay and around Coolum Reef with looking for where the birds are working being the key. Kawana Beach is Fishing well with Tailor starting to come through and the Elusive Jew(Mulloway) starting to make an appearance as well with best results on the top of the tide at night with livies if you can get the or Ganged Pillies or Mullet fillet.

Morning report: Reports yesterday of Tuna busting up all along the coast from on end of the horizon to the other, the beaches will be nice and easy to fish over the next week also with low wind and swell and the Tailor are starting so its time to get out there, over the next week the water temp is expected to drop bringing of those great winter species on the chew.
Afternoon report: There have still been lots of bust ups not to far from shore today with 25gram slugs and plastics pulling some Mackerel and Long-Tail and from the reports the reef species are still being caught in nice and close to shore with this haul in the attached photo taken just out the back of the shark nets at Mooloolaba.

There should be lots of pelagics around over the weekend(so what else is new right?) so look for the birds to find the bait as the pedators don't stray to far from their food source and news of some Quality trout and and snapper from Murphy's Coolum reef have been taken by the guys who have it sussed out, The wide marks off Caloundra have started producing some nice Pearlies, Teraglin and Snapper as well while the northern banks have been the go to get more of a mixed bag of Reefies(Tuskies, Spanglies and Red-throats).
