Lakes Entrance
Just before dark under the Highway Bridge for bream on soft plastics and prawn. Myer Street jetty for trevally and mullet on worm and pilchards. Try the surf for salmon. Off shore at Six Mile Reef for pinkies, closer to the beach for gummies and flathead.

Lake Tyers
From Cameron’s Arm and up to Devils Hole for bream, give Mill Point a try as well. Early morning and late afternoon for best results. Some pinkies are also about with the odd tailor as well. Nowa Nowa Caravan Park for garfish.

Mitchell River
The backwaters for perch and bream on hard body and soft plastics. From the bluff and towards the river mouth for bream on spider crab and soft plastics.

Tambo River
Best spot for bream is at Burn’s Flat and up to the Cliffs with prawn and worm as preferred bait.

Between the two bridges is producing good size bream on spider crab and prawn.

For bream the best spot is just in front of the Hotel Jetty with prawn as bait of choice.

Town jetties for bream taking shrimp. The Mc Millan Strait is also a good spot to try for bream.

Holland’s Landing
Jones Bay, Toms Creek and Blonde Bay are best for bream, mullet and flathead. Best results using worm, soft shell and peeled prawn.

The two rivers are best for bream and mullet. The second island with a floating prawn for perch. The surf for salmon on pilchards and poppers.

Bemm River
In the lake is best for bream taking vibes, soft plastics and local prawn. Surf for tailor on lures.

Tamboon Inlet
Bream are to be found in Western Bay, best bait being prawn and cut crab. The football ground for pinkies and trevally. The river mouth is worth a look as well.

Betka River for salmon on pilchards and poppers. The Top Lake for bream taking yabbies and prawns. Fisheries Jetty for snapper and tailor on pilchards. The Main Wharf has trevally on blue bait.

Omeo High Country
Anglers Rest and the Mitta Mitta are best for trout at the moment. Best results using metal lures, spinners and soft plastics.
