Report 10/5/18

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam remains consistent on last week, with some solid Golden Perch being landed over the past week and into the weekend. The windy conditions made it a little difficult at times, particularly for anglers fishing from boats. We received several reports of fish being landed along the bank between the Washpool and the wall end of the dam, with bait anglers seeing the best results. Blades, mask vibes and semi hardz were all successful in the deeper water. Anglers trolling hard body lures also managed to land some nice fish.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam was a little slower than previous weeks, with not many legal sized fish landed. Anglers reported on the odd Silver and Golden Perch being landed from the bank on bait. Smaller hard body lures also accounted for a few Golden Perch along the edge.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River hasn’t seen much change over the past week. Anglers are reporting on a few smaller Murray Cod on the move, particularly on the western side of town. Anglers fishing in the town area are landing a few smaller Golden Perch on bait. Spinnerbaits are working the best for the lure anglers. We also received a few reports of some big Carp being landed on corn.

MOOGERAH DAM: Moogerah was extremely busy of the long weekend. Anglers saw the best results in the mornings, with reports of Bass being landing on both lures and bait. The majority of the fish were landed in or close to the timber.
