Report 15/5/18

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam saw a few more Golden Perch on the move over the weekend than in previous weeks. Anglers reported on some nice Golden Perch being landed on blades in the main basin in approximately 15-20 foot of water. There were also some nice fish landed on trolled TN60 Jackalls, with “Brown Dog Gill” being the most successful colour. Shrimps continue to produce some reasonable fish from both the bank and the boat. Anglers commented on not as many Catfish being landed as previous week.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River has been a little hit and miss, with some anglers having more luck than others. We received reports of a few better Cod on the move on the western side of town, with fish landed measuring up to 85cm in length. Mumblers landed a couple of legal sized Golden Perch in the Scots Weir area. Anglers fishing in the Cullendore/Murrays Bridge area had success landing some nice Golden Perch on spinnerbaits.

MOOGERAH DAM: Moogerah Dam is definitely worth a look, with local anglers landing some solid fish. We received reports of some quality Golden Perch on the move over the weekend on both bait and lures. Blades, mask vibes and tail spinners fished close to the bottom also accounted for some nice Bass in various spots around the dam.
