Once again the weather gods were smiling with another week of great conditions here at the Rocks. Outside Fisho’s chasing Snapper found it slow going off Grassy with better results off Scotts Head and further up to Nambucca. Sampson Fish have been active and on the bite out of the same area. Hopefully a bit of current will bring the Snapper down closer to home. Jewfish are still in numbers off the norther reefs while the great run of Tuskies we have had may be over. It must be prime time for King Fish with the Wreck, Green Island and Fish Rock all producing some nice fish.

Good numbers of Flathead were caught through the week past the cut around the sand bars and up through Clybucca. It’s an ideal time to experiment with a variety of Plastics and hard body lures in the shallow water. The oyster racks were producing some nice Bream on the fuller tides. I have been getting reports of School Jew in the river but it’s hard getting a location out of the fisho’s. Blackfish were a hit and miss affair through the week but there were some nice fish amongst them.

Off the Rocks good Drummer were reported with the odd Tailor still about. Smoky Beach fished well for Bream and Dart with only a few Tailor coming in, while Back Beach had a few Flathead and Bream pulled out of a very calm ocean.
