The big blow last week kept the blue water fisho’s at bay with the seas up and ugly but prior to that the northern reefs were producing some nice fish. Grassy has a few good Snapper but once again, further north to Nambucca saw Sampson fish and Snapper turn on the bite with some nice fish amongst them. In front of the Jail fish were hard to find but in close we have had another run of Tailor and Bonito hitting metal lures and Garfish or Pilchards. Fish Rock has had a few Kings around it but it has been hard to find one of any size. No reports from out wider to pass on this week except the Leather Jackets are still doing their thing.

There were mixed results coming out of the river through the week. Flathead were on the bite early with some nice 60cm plus fish but shut down as the week went on. The Break Wall fished well for Bream out of the clear water while our Blackfish season is proving to be a bit of a fizzer. A little rain would help.

The bigger seas last week has turned the on Tailor off the Rocks with some Greenbacks making an appearance off the Jail and the Lighthouse ledges. Drummer are still in fair numbers with some nice Bream and the odd Groper. Finally Smoky and Gap Beaches are forming some nice gutters which have been productive for Bream, Tailor and the odd Flathead.
