Well don't we need some rain! Blue green algae is plaguing some of our favourite fishing spots. Please look up on the net which waterways are affected before heading out.

Lake eildon:
38.51% down 1.20% this week
Still a few cod getting caught. Local Jayden Kirley took his mother out and they landed a nice sized cod and a yellowbelly ( both caught by his mother)! A few Redfin have been caught around the marina on plastics and worms. Between doon and the wall has been good for Redfin and yellowbelly both on the troll and bait fishing. 50mm ac invades and halco crazy deeps have been a great trolling lure there.

Lake Hume:
30.91% down 1.28% this week
Fishing: 6/10.
A few reports have popped up with some locals catching some nice sized Redfin on live shrimp down the tallangatta end of the lake. Other than that the occasional yellowbelly has been caught on worms off the bank and trolling 4-7m. Haven't heard much else this week.

Lake Nillahcootie:
31.77% down 1.49% this week.
Fishing: 7/10.
The fishing continues to be consistent. Graham a Tatong anglers member caught a cracking 83cm cod trolling Monday. Most anglers trolling are getting a few. Continue to troll shallow in the mornings and evening and through the heat of the day fish 5-8m with smaller profile deep diving lures. A few anglers have been using spinnerbaits with a few sinkers on the front to get it deep for trolling so maybe give that a go if its quiet. Bait fishing off the bank had been so so. Plenty of mud marlins have been caugh, a few Yellas and cod and surprisingly no many Redfin. Worms seem to be doing most the damage.

44.15% down 0.08% this week
Dart isn't pumping out water like it was the last few months. The fishing has been great at the moment but a downrigger is a must to catch bulk. Silver and orange has been really good at the moment but your pinks and browns are also getting a few.

With dart not releasing as much water the Mitta has been fishing a lot better. Browns to 6lb have been caught on rapalas and the fly fishos have also caught a few. Anything black is a good option with the crickets up and about.

Lake buffalo and William hovell.
Buffalo has been producing some better sized Redfin the last few weeks. Deeper water 15-30ft has been a lot better than shallow. Both bait fishing and soft plastics have been catching them. Haven't heard much on the native side of things but they are there! Hovell hasn't been as good but a lot of small Redfin are up the top end of the lake. Cast blades and plastics as far as you can and see if there is any bigger specimens around.
