Out off 9 mile there are some small wahoo, and yellowtail kingfish are still on the reef as well. There's the odd Spanish and spotted mackerel a bit further north on Palmy Reef and the Gravel Patch. Some small black marlin are sitting out on the 24 fathom line as well.

There have been been some big flathead and decent size school jew caught in the Blue Hole and the Cotton Trees. Anglers are picking up good jacks along Chinderah rock wall and Barneys Point bridge. Quality jacks are also being caught at Boyds Bay bridge on live bait.

There are good schools of sand whiting around the middle reaches taking surface lures, and some flathead at Terranora Lakes as well.

Beach anglers are keeping their cards close to their chest, but word has gotten out of a few tailor at pumping jetty.
